Welcome to the Sherwood Lake Club.

Life on the Lake Starts Here

A private lake community built on recreation, connection, and timeless Kansas beauty

Nestled in southwest Topeka, Kansas, Sherwood Lake is a privately owned, 225-acre lake that has been the heart of a premier residential community since 1966. Surrounded by beautiful homes and located within the Washburn Rural School District, Sherwood Lake offers a unique blend of natural beauty, recreation, and neighborhood pride.

The Sherwood Lake Club serves 300+ memberships and provides a wide range of recreational opportunities for all ages. Members enjoy some of the area’s finest boating and fishing, relaxing days at the beach, and peaceful moments on the water. Club amenities include a welcoming clubhouse with a full kitchen, a small marina, horseshoe courts, and newly renovated tennis and pickleball courts, offering something for everyone to enjoy.

Clubs & Community

Sherwood Lake Club is more than a place to recreate—it’s a place to connect. Member-led clubs and social activities bring neighbors together and help create a strong sense of community. Members can participate in the Bridge Club, a friendly and social group for card players of all experience levels; the Sailing Club, which offers friendly races and opportunities to learn and improve sailing skills; and the Ski Club for water sports enthusiasts who enjoy sharing time on the lake. Throughout the season, the Lake Club also hosts casual, family-friendly social events at the beach, making Sherwood Lake a true gathering place for the neighborhood.

Our Guiding Principle

Our guiding principle is simple: the Sherwood Lake Club exists to provide safe, high-quality recreation, maintain outstanding facilities, and preserve the beauty of the lake and surrounding neighborhood. In everything we do, we strive to enhance property values, strengthen our community, and deliver an exceptional experience for our members.
