Class B Memberships (Non-Lakefront)

Class B Membership Requirements:

To apply to become a Class B member of the Sherwood Lake Club, the following requirements must be met:

  1. You must own and reside in your home.

  2. Your home must reside in a non-lakefront home within the Lake Club boundaries.   Click here for Map

  3. You must first contact the Sherwood Lake Club and be asked to put on the Class B Membership Waiting List.  There are a maximum of 130 Class B memberships.  REQUEST TO BE ADDED TO THE B-MEMBER WAITING LIST HERE!

  4. When you are contacted that you've reached the top of the waiting list and a membership is now available, you must complete the next two steps withing a 15 day period.

  5. An application must be completed accompanied by required documentation. 

  6. After you submit the application, you will be billed and must pay for the joining fee, stock purchase, and pro-rata annual dues for current year.

  7. You will not be a member until the fees are paid and then the Board of Directions approves the membership, normally at the next monthly board meeting.  If for any reason the Board denies your membership, you will receive a full refund of fees promptly.

  8. You can SKIP THE WAITING LIST, if you are purchasing a property from a seller that is a current B-Member and you apply for membership within 30 days of closing on the property.  Contact Office@SherwoodLakeClub.org for more information.

Class B Membership Fees

Joining Fee: 
The Joining Fee is $3,000 and can be paid in a modified installment plan. if desired.  

Capital Stock: 
You must pay $200.00 for one share of stock. upon joining.  Later, upon surrendering your membership, the stock will be repurchased by the club for $200.

Annual Dues: 
The Annual Dues for Class A Memberships is $400.00.  This will be prorated the first year depending on the month you join.

Insurance Assessment:
Members are assessed annually, usually in August, for a share of the insurance costs the club pays.  The 2023 assessment for $70.32 per member. 

Special Assessments:
Special Assessments may happen.  For instance, a special assessment will likely occur when a required major Dam-Spillway Rehabilitation Project is required to be funded. 


Marina Slips for B-Members.

The Club has a Marina located in the 6900 block of Fountaindale Rd with 34 slips rented to B-Members.  The cost to rent a Marina Slip is $500 annually.  There is a Waiting List for the Slips and it can multiple years before one is available after a B-member requests being added to the Marina Waiting List.  A-Members normally do not normally qualify for Slips in the Marina.
